YECO Canada is thrilled to announce the launch of its Anti-Racism Participatory PhotoVoice Project. This unique initiative empowers youth to amplify their voices through photography and storytelling. We aim to bring together ten enthusiastic and diverse youth participants for an engaging three-week training program that combines online and in-person sessions.
YECO Canada is thrilled to announce our Volunteer Welcoming Week, which is dedicated to warmly welcoming and celebrating our incredible team of 15 YECO volunteers. This special week is designed to integrate our volunteers into our community and provide them with the support and resources they need to succeed. Our volunteers will work on key projects such as website development, employment support, grant writing, and participation in the volunteer steering committee.
YECO Canada has a history of engaging with communities on critical issues. In the past, we organized a significant town hall meeting with the South Sudanese/Sudanese community in Ottawa. This meeting was dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of gun violence and fostering a dialogue to find solutions and support for affected individuals and families.
